The Surefire X200 is a small, high-performance LED tactical light that attaches to guns. The light attaches to handguns with either universal rails or Picatinny rails like Glock and Springfield. The Picatinny rail is also known as the MIL STD M-1913 rail. Adapters for both are included with the package. The X200 is made from type III hard-anodized aluminum. It is considered as the world’s smallest weapon light. In tactical applications, the light coming from the torch can momentarily blind offenders.
The X200 is available as the X200A variant and X200B variant. In a nutshell, the main difference between the two is that the X200A has a more concentrated beam that has a longer range, while the X200B has a wider spread beam, which can be used for peripheral searching.
The LED in the X200 is virtually shockproof. The weapon light itself is also waterproof up to 39 meters or 99 feet. The LED is rated at 5 watts and is surrounded by a micro-textured reflector. The lens is made from tempered Pyrex which is virtually indestructible. It also has an anti-reflective coating.
The X200 has a switch that works with both hands. You can switch it with one using your trigger finger’s hand, or from the opposite support hand. It can also be switched momentarily or continuously.
With a maximum rating of 100 lumens, the X200 easily runs on two SF123 3.0 volts lithium batteries. It comes with SureFire brand batteries as well with a claimed shelf life of 10 years.
The X200 is really small and light. It measures a tiny 1.34 inches high by 1.43 inches wide and 3.47 inches long. It weighs less than 4 ounces. At these dimensions, it would seem that you have nothing added to your handgun. Plus, the design of SureFire’s clip system makes it easy and fast to attach and detach.
